The Courts is designed to evoke refined athletic leisure — a venue you come to for the afternoon, not only for the match. Reception opens onto the courts. The lounge sits above them.

At Portello, The Courts was built for the whole afternoon, not just the match. Twenty-two courts under palms and a standing-seam roof, a lounge that looks down on them, and a game anyone can learn in an hour.
Come for the pickleball or come for the company. And when the rest of Tagum has locked up, six indoor courts are still lit — I‑01 through I‑06 play around the clock, every night of the year. The other sixteen keep civilised hours.
Nobody here will ask your rating. We don’t keep one.
Play often enough and the club is worth joining. The Rally Club is our membership: club rates on every court, booking a week ahead of the public, and a standing invitation to ladder nights and the member–guest. The first 300 cards are numbered, and they are offered only before we open on 27 November 2026.

By the hour, on the hour
Book online, pay in full, and the court is yours. Peak hours run 4pm–12mn. Open play is a flat ticket — no partner needed, no rating asked.

Pay by cash at the counter, GCash, QR Ph or major card. Indoor bookings may move once, free, up to four hours before play. Rained-out outdoor bookings become a full wallet credit or a free rebooking, your choice. Open play spots are refundable to your wallet up to 24 hours before start.

Book a court by the hour, or take a spot in open play. Pay in full to reserve — cash at the counter, GCash, QR Ph or card.
Open play
Come alone.
Leave having played with everyone.
Pay ₱200, check in, and the house runs the game — courts assigned, partners mixed every round, matchups and standings on the screens in type big enough to read from the lounge.
Beginner
New to the sport and learning the flow. Can get it over the net; still making friends with the double bounce rule.
Novice
Plays a full match unaided. Holds a three-or-four shot rally, lands most serves, knows where the Kitchen is.
Low Intermediate
Plays weekly and thinks about positioning. Volleys, moves to the net after the return, starting to dink.
No rating apps. No ladders. Standings are bragging rights, and they reset with the next session.

The place
More than the hours you booked
A mezzanine lounge seating fifty to sixty, a pro shop off reception, concessionaires at ground level, and a covered walk between the courts.
New to pickleball?
From never-played to hooked, in about an hour.
The game in a minute
Serve underhand, cross-court. Let the ball bounce once on each side before anyone takes it out of the air. Stay out of the Kitchen — the seven feet either side of the net — unless the ball bounces there first. Games to eleven, win by two.
House manners
Court shoes, not road shoes. Start on the hour, finish on the hour. Line calls are honest, wins are loud, and you can pay by cash, GCash, QR Ph or card.
Your first hour
Come to a Beginner open play — ₱200, no partner needed, no rating asked. The house assigns your court, mixes your partners every round, and puts the matchups on the screens. You will be rallying by the second game.
